Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Enhanced Training 20-21

This 8-hour workshop teaches participants how to safely manage disruptive and assaultive behavior. Completion of the training will certify participants to use verbal, nonverbal, and non-violent physical intervention, disengagement, and holding skills. This program meets the requirements in the Commissioner's Rules for training in prevention and de-escalation techniques and alternatives to the use of restraint as mandated by SB 1196.
In order to fulfill the 8-hour minimum training requirement, a working lunch will be necessary. Please bring a sack lunch and some change for a drink from the vending machine.
Please wear comfortable clothes and athletic (closed-toe) shoes.
Each participant will receive a copy of CPI's Nonviolent Crisis Intervention workbook.

Workshop Fee will be charged to those who fail to show for a workshop.
To avoid the charge, Staff Development contacts for this workshop must be notified in writing at least 3 business days prior to workshop date.
