Reading Comprehension Fix-Up Strategies
Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.
Are you having trouble with getting students to monitor their thinking while they read to look for confusions, hang-ups, and misunderstandings? These fix-up tools can be used as an engaging way to reinforce a student’s use of metacognitive skills around monitoring for meaning during their reading. Teaching students to use fix up strategies is crucial to their reading comprehension of both nonfiction and fiction texts.
