MTSS/RtI/PBIS - TIER 3 Intensive Interventions and Supports 21-22

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Evidence of data drives intervention and instruction in the framework of RtI to meet student's needs. We will go DEEPER into the different types of assessments, create student information profiles, deep dive into the data collected to determine levels of support within the classroom and when it is appropriate to pull-out, determine what is needed to move through the TIERS, what constitutes a good referral, and what is needed to communicate with parents. Bring electronic device. Intensive intervention, often called Tier 3 or tertiary prevention, is designed for students who demonstrate inadequate response to universal and targeted intervention. Intensive intervention may occur within or outside of special education. Schools have different ways of conceptualizing and implementing intensive intervention. A much smaller number of students—typically about 5% or less—require intensive intervention.
