Aligning the IEPs to the TEKS 21-22, Take a Step Toward IEP Quality and Rigor
This course is based on the TEA IEP Quality and Rigor Rubric and Course. IDEA requires that alternate achievement standards be linked vertically to grade-level academic content using prerequisite skills to promote access to the general curriculum for students with moderate and severe intellectual disabilities. Participants will learn strategies to adapt grade-level Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for students with moderate and severe disabilities, resulting in standards-based, attainable and meaningful student goals.
