Elementary ELAR Planning with TEKS RS - Student Discourse and Collaboration

Day 4 of RLA SHIFT - ELAR is centered around the tenets of reading, writing, speaking, listening, and thinking. In fact, our new ELAR Standards require it in every knowledge and skill statement. Examine how to use student discourse and collaboration productively to create higher levels of thinking, engagement, and retention. Using the knowledge, teachers will spend the afternoon examining the goals of their unit, the Performance assessments associated with it, and looking for ways to intentionally included discourse and collaboration in their classrooms.

Follow up Office hours will be offered to support teachers in the implementation of their learning.
