Secondary ELAR Planning with TEKS RS - Extending Student Thinking

Day 5 of RLA SHIFT - It's time to challenge our students to deeper levels of thinking and connection. Come join us as we spend the morning experiencing examples of instructional strategies that extend student thinking through application. This deepening of thought and connection supports students long term memory and ability to transfer to new and more difficult text. The afternoon will be spent giving teachers time to examine the goals of their unit, the Performance Assessments associated with it, and write plans that include instructional strategies to challenge and grow student capacity in reading and writing.

Follow up Office hours will be offered to support teachers in the implementation of their learning.
