Teacher Conservation Institute: Green Jobs, Exploring Forest Careers - Cohort 2 (Middle - High School)

The Texas Forestry Association invites you to join us on a fun two-day outdoor professional development forestry experience for middle school and high school teachers. You will receive 16 hours of CPE as you become certified in Project Learning Trees' new Green Jobs curriculum. You will explore a tree farm, logging operation, and forest products manufacturing facility as you learn about Texas working forests and STEM forestry careers.

Special Instructions: Lunch will be provided on both days and portions of this workshop will be outside in a forest on uneven terrain. Some portions of a tour will include walking up and downstairs. The tours in the workshop are not handicap accessible.

Grade levels: Middle School and High School

Cohort 1 dates: July 19th and 20th, 2021, 7:30am to 6:00pm (outdoor tours in the morning, classroom in the afternoon)
Cohort 2 dates: July 21st and 22nd, 2021, 7:30am to 6:00pm (outdoor tours in the morning, classroom in the afternoon)
