Best Behavior 20-21

Are you looking for classroom management strategies that transfer responsibility for behavior from the teacher to the student? In this skill-building workshop based in creative dance strategies, teachers will learn how to guide students to control their bodies and voices while moving creatively through space. The workshop includes techniques for moving students from place to place, developing body and voice self-control, and managing space in the classroom. Veteran Kennedy Center Teaching Artist Randy Barron leads fun, fast-paced, and immediately useful activities that make the workshop fly by, and teachers leave with step-by-step instructions for making the classroom a safe and creative space for students to construct and demonstrate understanding through movement.
