G/T: Differentiation Strategies for the Gifted Learner

Differentiation. We all know students learn best when the curriculum is modified to address their specific strengths, weaknesses, readiness levels, and interests through content, process, and product. How do we ensure gifted students are being appropriately challenged by modifying not only content, process, and product but also the depth, complexity, and pacing of the curriculum ordinarily provided as outlined by state law?

This G/T 6 hour annual update is designed to sharpen participants’ understanding of differentiation strategies specifically for the gifted learner. The first part of the day will focus on principles and practices that make up effective differentiation. During the second part, participants will apply the ideas and skills learned to create lesson plans and activities for use in their own classrooms. This workshop is for Bullard ISD staff only.
