Financial Literacy to a New Level - Grades 1-12

Financial literacy can be a difficult concept for our students and us! Join us as we look at two resources that can supplement your financial literacy teaching. In the morning we will explore the $martPath platform which are stand-alone videos to teach economic concepts to students in a fun and accessible way. This interactive and fun session will demonstrate how to integrate $martPath into what you are already teaching either in-person or virtually. Then in the afternoon, we will explore the Stock Market Game. Come learn what it is and how this fun, innovative way to teach math, personal finance, and economics in grades 4-12 with hands-on time devoted to learning the mechanics and vocabulary of the game. Also, there will be discussions on how to effectively manage your teams of students and confidently guide them through the process of choosing investments, managing portfolios, and competing in the state-wide challenge. Open to all Region 7 Schools.
