Social Studies Thinking with Mental Maps

An understanding of maps is critical for examining the world’s spatial patterns and unfortunately, students are not developing adequate map skills. This one-hour course will introduce social studies teachers to how to support spatial reasoning skill development in their classroom. We will also examine resources to use to support mental mapping.
