Beyond ABC's: Building a Foundation for Reading and Writing in Head Start

Complete Attendance

By engaging preschoolers in experiences that foster oral language, content knowledge, literacy skills, and cognitive ability, we build a strong foundation for children's later academic success. We will examine the reading and writing process and skills needed when learning to read and write. Participants will build a foundation for pre-reading and writing skills in a Head Start classroom.
