The 5E Model of Instruction is a research-based, inquiry method of designing lessons. Each of the 5E's describe a phase of learning: Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate. This session will outline the purpose of each phase, and how they work together for conceptual understanding in science.
