SLP Webinar Series 21-22: Social Pragmatic Communication Treatment

Social Pragmatic Treatment that Produces Positive Change. Too often treatment focuses on targeting specific areas of deficiency and fails to recognize the underlying reasons causing the deficiency. When treatment targets the causal factors, gains occur in a wide variety of observed social behaviors, and transference of learned behavior occurs more rapidly. Participants will learn how the interplay between the foundational skills of Theory of Mind, Central Coherence, Executive Function, and Emotional Intelligence together with psychodynamics create social deficits and how to treat accordingly to produce meaningful long-lasting positive change.
Attendees will be able to participate in this webinar from their district. Workshop materials and an access code for entering the webinar will be provided prior to the scheduled date. Course certificates and certificate links within your staff development records will be available 10 days after the course end date and the posting of credit hours. TSHA credit will be offered.
