Lesson Transformers for “Prime” Learning

Learn how to “transform” your lessons with examples, ideas, and strategies that allow students to “morph” into learning machines through active learning activities that promote collaboration, communication, and problem-solving.

This session will demonstrate how the constructivist method of teaching can transform traditional, passive elementary lessons into a student-centered, active process of meaning and knowledge acquisition. We will deconstruct a handful of lessons and demonstrate how making a few, small changes can begin to put students in charge of their own learning.
