How Can You Teach Math Focal Points Using Finances? Grades 6-8

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Our Process Standards require us to bring the real world into the classroom. What better way to do that than with MONEY! Susan Doty, Director of Center for Economic & Financial Literacy from the University of Texas at Tyler, will present new information and resources addressing the math focal points per grade level. Making real-world connections for your students through money is always a successful strategy with students. Teachers will receive student-centered activities that can be used to empower students to understand math concepts and make informed responsible choices as consumers and savers.
