What do 7th grade Texas History students need to know before they get to 8th grade US history? What can you do now to prepare your 7th-grade students to be successful on the 8th-grade social studies STAAR? Which TEKS correlate between 7th grade and 8th grade - the Constitution, Annexation, the Civil War, and/or Reconstruction? This session will examine the alignment in the TEKS so you can help your students have a better foundation for the 8th-grade social studies content.
