Applied Behavior Strategies for Teachers and Paraprofessionals 22-23

Many educational systems, including PBIS and the Autism Supplement, are calling for the application of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles when educating students in special education. This workshop provides participants with the basic principles of ABA and the foundational tools necessary to understand behavior functionally and increase or decrease specific behaviors to improve student outcomes. Concepts covered include antecedents, behavior & consequences (ABCs), functions of behavior, reinforcement, prompting and prompt fading, and data collection. This workshop is for Whitehouse ISD.
