2022 English Learner Conference: Taking Parent-Family-Community Engagement to the Next Level
1:00 PM - 2:15 PM
Cedar Room A*
Providing parent-family-community engagement activities may be challenging due to funding, limited personnel, or limited resources. However, more than ever, school districts, administrators, and teachers must provide intentional parent-family-community engagement activities that allow us to support our emergent bilingual families. With the vision to close academic and linguistic gaps for our emergent bilinguals, the collaboration between school and home through parent-family-community engagement activities is key. During my own journey, I found that taking parent-family-community engagement activities to the next level does not require abundant resources. Instead, it takes a different approach in communication, engagement, and support.
