TELPAS Alternate Rater Training

Most English Learners (or EB students) who are also served through Special Education can take the general TELPAS in the Spring, but a small number of very special students qualify to take the TELPAS Alternate assessment instead. If you serve a student with a significant cognitive disability, you'll want to attend this workshop where we will review the TELPAS Alternate guidelines and procedures to administer the TELPAS Alternate. In this session, we will utilize the District Testing Coordinator Manual provided by TEA, as well as supplemental resources from the TEA website to include procedures and a work time to identify activities to correlate to the Alternate PLDs. This interactive training is designed for TELPAS Alternate Test Administrators. Participants will need to bring a device.
