2023 Mathematics Achievement Academy: Formative Assessment and Applying the Content Across the Strands, Grade 3 (Day 2 of 2)

**Teachers must have previously attended a Math Academy (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 or 2022)**
This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.

In the Mathematics Achievement Academy: Formative Assessment and Applying the Content Across the Strands, Grade 3, participants take a deeper look at two themes from the Original Mathematics Achievement Academy, Grade 3: formative assessment and content-area connections. Participants will explore components of formative assessment and related implementation considerations. Through hands-on activities focusing on measurement and data, connections will be made to whole number operations and fraction concepts. Support for diverse learners continues through grade-level mathematics, problem-solving experiences, and discourse strategies. The focus continues to be on tools and supports for improving overall mathematics instruction, student success on statewide assessments, and post-secondary readiness.

**Participants must attend both consecutive dates**

This workshop is offered face-to-face.
