Disability Awareness: The 13 Categories 21-22

Not every child who struggles in school has a disability that adversely affects their school performance. The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) requires public schools to provide special education to eligible students. To be determined as a child with a disability under this federal law, you must meet the criteria under one of the 13 categories. This workshop will develop a deeper awareness of the word “disability” and how as an educator we influence the lives of many individuals. This workshop is for Whitehouse ISD.
