G/T 6-Hour Update: Economically Disadvantaged Gifted/Talented Students

Economically disadvantaged students are often underrepresented in gifted programs. Meaningful discussions regarding the characteristics of G/T students from poverty as well as assessment and identification of these students will be explored. In addition, program services and instructional considerations for economically disadvantaged G/T students will be discussed as we encourage equitable representation of student populations in G/T programs throughout the state. This workshop is offered at no charge to all Region 7 ESC districts and charters. This workshop satisfies the state requirement for the annual G/T 6-hour update.
