The Texas Education Agency's (TEA) T.I.E.R. Network (Tiered Interventions using Evidenced Based Research) has developed guidelines for the implementation of school-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). PBIS is an evidence-based three-tiered framework to improve and integrate all data, systems, and practices to support students' needs. Under the umbrella of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), this team addresses the pathway of behavioral, social, emotional, and overall mental health. Campus and classroom interventions and support are developed to create a positive and proactive environment where everyone thrives. When PBIS is implemented with fidelity, students experience improved behavioral, social, emotional, and academic outcomes; schools and programs reduce their use of exclusionary discipline practices, improve their overall climate, and increase the well-being of the staff. The target group is focused on those involved in the implementation of MTSS.
