Walk in the Forest with Project Learning Tree

Discover Project Learning Tree’s award-winning environmental education curriculum for educators of students in K-8. PLT’s mission is to teach students “how to think” not “what to think” about the environment. PLT helps develop student skills in creative problem solving, critical thinking, evaluation and research.
Up to six hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit from the State Board of Educator Certification (SBEC) is provided.
PLT materials are correlated to the National Science and Social Studies Standards, and the Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts TEKS (http://www.plttexas.org)
Participants receive their own copy of the K-8 guidebook filled with PLT activities.
Also, lunch will be provided!
Location will be at the Eastman Nature Center in Longview (Located at ~3920 Garland Road).
We will be outside in the woods all day, please dress appropriately for the weather and conditions (closed-toe shoes & comfortable clothing).
