G/T Online Day 2: Assessment and Identification of Gifted Learners

G/T 5 Day Basics / 30 Hour Training (Day 2 of 5) Grades K-12: In this online course, participants will gain an understanding of how to implement Texas law and the State Board of Education rule concerning the assessment and identification of gifted and talented students as indicated in the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented Students. Participants will also learn about methods of assessment that help accurately identify the needs of the gifted students in a district. All work must be completed by the course end date to receive a certificate. This online course is offered at no charge to members of the G/T Coop, G/T Professional Development Package, and TPCP. G/T Day 2 will not satisfy the state requirement for the annual gifted/talented 6 Hour update. For questions about registration, please contact the registrar for this workshop at 903-988-6784.
