East Texas Oil Museum’s Integrated Curriculum: "Got Oil Cafe"

The Kilgore College East Texas Oil Museum developed a multi-disciplinary curriculum for teachers of grades 4 through 7. The “Got Oil Café” includes hands-on pre-visit, on-site, and post-visit activities related to the impact of East Texas oil and the energy industry in the past, present, and future. Educators will be provided different ways to incorporate the provided information into educational fun and utilize the museum as an extension of the classroom. The course materials emphasize science, social studies, and math. Teachers will learn information about the history of oil in East Texas and how they can use it to enhance student learning and understanding. Museum tour and lunch included.
