Providing Effective Counseling and Psychological Services as a Related Service 22-23

Description

School psychologists can provide a broad range of comprehensive school psychological services. School psychologists understand the various influences on mental and behavioral health and the behavioral and emotional impacts on learning. The related services of counseling and psychological services can be underutilized in the school setting, which can cause districts to miss an additional source of reimbursable services. In this session, participants will learn how to differentiate between counseling and psychological services. This workshop will review the key components of completing a school-based counseling/psychological services evaluation, including possible assessment tools and linking data to better inform PLAAFPs and goals/objectives.
