Social Studies K - 12 TEKS RS Backward Design and Planning (Winona ISD)

A backward design process focusing on the Performance Assessments in TEKS Resource System will guide and direct classroom instruction. Providing exemplars has been shown to assist students understanding of content knowledge and social studies skills. Exemplars make it easy to articulate established criteria and standards for each performance assessment, but it takes time to create the exemplars. Your planning team will work together to create exemplars you will use in your classroom. The PD is hands-on and teacher-centered. You will leave with your teacher-created exemplars to use in your classroom. This workshop is for Winona ISD teachers only.
