Algebra 1 Cohort B: Secondary Math - Day 1

We know what is right around the corner! We experienced the new testing format and survived! A focus of our attention will be the book Building Thinking Classrooms by Peter Liljedahl. Building teaching practices for enhancing our students' learning moves our students to higher levels of success. Understanding your student's strengths and weaknesses will drive the practices and discussions. Through an examination of the data, the TEKS, and research-based instructional strategies, the group will collaborate on problem-solving and meeting the needs of students. Teachers will collaborate, share resources, and practice math instructional strategies in order for their students to gain a better understanding of concepts. Join the group and add to your instructional toolbox.

The workshop will be held at Lufkin ISD and is open to surrounding districts.
