Science Notebooks that Build Understanding (Jacksonville ISD)

Students' science notebooks could be so much more than "interactive." This workshop shows you how to make thinking visible. That's what happens when students record their thoughts about scientific phenomena. Students can use notebooks to pose questions, write observations, work through puzzling data, or think through new ideas. Come and see some samples from actual student notebooks and explore lessons, instructional routines, and assessment techniques that pair well with science notebooks. This workshop will have a working lunch because of the earlier release time. ****This workshop is for Jacksonville ISD only. Email jslaughter@esc7.net to schedule this workshop for your district.
