This course will allow substitutes to build or refresh their skill set as they begin to work with students in the district. This course covers topics such as professionalism and, legal issues (confidentiality, student supervision, general health protocols, child abuse reporting, general student discipline information). We also include classroom management tips and strategies and include general instructional strategies throughout to help substitutes and teachers get the most out of their day's instruction. Last, we finish off with a walkthrough of a day in the life of a substitute. Substitute teachers should finish this course feeling prepared to enter classrooms with new tools in their toolbelt.
