We have taught ECRs for two years. Across the state, in my district, or in my classroom, where are students struggling? What do these struggles mean for instruction, and what do I do next to help my student writers? Simplifying the ECR process involves finding the balance between meeting rubric expectations and managing time effectively. By breaking down requirements, providing examples, and promoting efficient strategies, we empower students to tackle ECR writing confidently.
