Explore considerations in developing and acquiring communication aids, strategies for teaching communication skills, and ways to connect communication and instruction. This course aligns with Quality Indicator V: Social Communication on the Rubric of Effective Practices for Students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities. We will walk through a training developed by Texas SPED Support in collaboration with the Texas Education Agency and discuss how the content can directly impact students in our region.
