Adapted Physical Education is an individually designed instructional program for students with disabilities based on a comprehensive evaluation. Adapted PE gives the student the skills necessary for a quality of life, including leisure, recreation, sports experiences, health, and wellness. This course will cover topics such as Purpose, Laws, Evaluations, Sample Service Models, Sample District Guidelines, Adapted Activity Ideas, Teaching Tips, and FAQs. Participants will be directed to valuable resources to improve students' physical fitness in as inclusive a setting as possible.
