Opioid Overdose Response

This training equips school staff with essential knowledge and skills to recognize and respond to opioid overdoses, including fentanyl-related incidents, in the school setting. Participants will learn to:
• Identify the signs and symptoms of an opioid-related overdose.
• Administer an opioid antagonist (e.g., naloxone/Narcan).
• Implement emergency procedures when responding to an overdose.
• Properly store and dispose of opioid antagonists.
Through interactive discussions and scenario-based learning, school personnel will gain confidence in taking life-saving actions to protect students and staff.
