Science Quest 2026-2027: Mission - Matter for Grades 3-5

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Join a year-long professional learning journey through the four foundational science strands of the Grade 3-5 Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills. This four-part cohort series is designed to deepen your understanding of grade-level science standards, enrich your vocabulary instruction, and build your confidence through engaging, hands-on lessons. Each session will focus on one science strand, with practical tools, collaborative conversations, and resources you can implement immediately in your classroom.

Explore how the TEKS bring the properties of matter and physical changes to life in the classroom. Teachers will break down complex concepts into manageable, hands-on learning experiences that help students describe, measure, classify, compare and contrast matter. Expect high-energy labs, vocabulary strategies that stick, and ready-to-use lessons that make matter matter.
