Science Rewired - Crack the Code: Genetics in Action

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

2026-27 Fall Biology Cohort - Step into the role of a genetic detective as the miniPCR team guides you through engaging, TEKS-aligned labs that bring genetics to life. Investigate whether baby Marie has sickle cell disease using gel electrophoresis, explore inheritance patterns, and uncover the molecular story behind genetic traits. Then, move beyond static diagrams to experience the central dogma in action through hands-on and virtual labs that model gene expression from DNA to protein. With options for both physical labs and interactive simulations—and the opportunity to dive into PCR-based disease analysis—this session equips you with meaningful, ready-to-use experiences for your classroom.
