Workshop Registration Details

This webinar will provide an overview of Bridges and Write Idea to help districts determine if one or both of these programs fit their needs.

Bridges: A Dyslexia Intervention Connecting Teacher, Avatar and Student, is a two-year, evidence-based curriculum for children ages 7 and older produced by Scottish Rite. Bridges utilizes lesson content from Scottish Rite’s Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with Dyslexia curriculum. Scientific research conducted on students receiving Take Flight and students receiving Bridges showed similarly effective improvement in literacy outcomes for students with dyslexia.

• Bridges presents the same content as Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with Dyslexia and in the same order.
• Any certified teacher can be trained in a total of 10 days.
• Some training hours can apply toward becoming a CALT.
• Bridges is grounded in research-validated efficacy.

Write Idea: A Dysgraphia and Written Expression Intervention (Write Idea) is a curriculum written by the staff of the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders of Scottish Rite for Children in Dallas, Texas. It includes instruction in the following:
Five Components of Effective Dysgraphia Intervention
contains the research-based components of effective instruction of handwriting and written expression
Handwriting – posture, grip, letter formation, and sequence
Phonics
Spelling
Orthography
Written Expression – narrative and expository
