The Future of AI: Integrating Hands-on CS & AI in Middle School Day 3

Complete Attendance not available before workshop starts.

Region 7 Digital Learning and Forward Education, with sponsorship by The University of Texas at Austin - WeTeach_CS, invites Texas Middle School educators to an immersive, four-day summer Professional Development workshop in Region 7. This is a hands-on "maker" experience where you will master wearable technology with the CHARGE for micro:bit, train custom Machine Learning models using CreateAI, and bridge the gap between Computational Thinking and core subjects.

Go Beyond the Basics with Real-World Projects: This workshop isn't just about learning the tech—it’s about discovering fun, engaging, TEKS aligned projects that bring AI to life. From building Safe Crossing Stations and Indoor-Outdoor Temperature Monitors to designing wearable Hydration Alarms, you will build, train, and code AI models that solve real problems. You’ll leave with a bank of high-interest projects you can take back to your students with the confidence to integrate them directly into your lesson plans!

Whether you teach Science, Math, Technical Applications, CS, CTE, or any subject looking to integrate AI, this workshop is for you.

Why Join?
Fully Funded: Receive a $400 stipend upon completion, travel reimbursement (up to $200), and daily meals.
